Fourth day of clean eating challenge

Well, I can’t say I ate clean today. Because I didn’t so well. Why ?? First of all, I was moving to other apartment so I carried heavy stuff, boxes, bags and clothes all day. Cleaned old place and new place. I totally didn’t have time to cook or think about eat at all. But not all is lost. I will fix by working out extra today.

Remember that pizza my husband ordered yesterday?? Well, I ate a slice today for breakfast. 😦 It was a little one but bad anyway. I had half banana, one slice of bread, coffee and the darn pizza. ( there’s just half slice in the plate in the picture but believe me I eat the whole slice)

After my breakfast everything got crazy. Apartment was a mess of things everywhere. So I just had a half banana and a string cheese.

I ended up snacking during the day some roast unsalted almonds and a grapefruit. At lunch I just ate some veggies and other string cheese ( only protein I had) and some beans.

It was super late when finally I had some time to cook dinner. And because the new place has deck I was super excited to barbecue. I love barbecue. So I did it. Grilled some steak, chicken and one hot dog to my husband. And to celebrate we our new place we drink some beers while watching Entourage.

I had learned today that I just eat junk food if I don’t have my healthy meals with me. So for now on I will keep my food around all the time. And of course today I will have to work out a lot to burn my bad attitude from yesterday.

🙂 🙂

Third day of clean eating challenge

Today it was a super busy day I am moving and there was so much stuff to do. But I need keep up with my diet no matter what. I made some extra food yesterday so I didn’t have to worry about it today. Breakfast was the same than yesterday because I LOVE oats.

My second breakfast or snack was just something simple, one hard boil egg, one veggie egg roll, some broussel sprout and some roast cauliflower.

Lunch one scrabble egg, one spoon of mozzarella cheese, a handful of fresh spinach and two spoons of chickpeas beans with a slice of whole wheat bread.

For afternoon snack and for dinner I had the same thing I ate in the morning because I didn’t have time to cook anything else.

I got home from work and my husband had ordered a giant pizza. Can you believe that??? I think is mean. But anyway I didn’t have it. Of course, I took a bite of one slice. And yes it was just a bite. Because my last meal was a grapefruit, three walnuts and some dried cherries.

I also had a PBR because I need some weekend fun too after packing all week. Tomorrow is moving day and I can’t wait to be over. I am super tired but super strong. I forgot to say in the other posts but I always drink about three liters of water per day. Drink water is really important specially if you want to lose weight.

After three days challenge I feel stronger and I can easily avoid junk foods. My belly feels great too. Okay moving time now…bye bye

🙂

Second day of clean eating challenge

Second day challenge here I come!

I am feeling great today and happy as well. I went for a 6am run for half hour and when I got back home I was starving I easily could eat a cow and half, but I didn’t. Instead I ate my oats and after that 30 more minutes of intense work out and I was ready to take over the world.

Here is my second meal. Two baked vegetarian egg rolls with a cup of Yerba matte tea.

For lunch I had half apple, some chia seeds with two tablespoons of yogurt and a green tea.

Lunch time, I was super hungry and I knew why I was not having protein enough into my meals. My meal was one egg roll ( the same baked one cause I made a lot), roast cauliflower, some grapes ( a handful maybe?) and I added two little slices of roast beef from work. It was good because I felt like my belly was full enough for a long time.

Before come home from work I ate my dinner that was nearly the same I had before. Two egg rolls and some roast cauliflower.

Last snack about three hours before bedtime. Just a little orange, coffee, and I had some dry cherries with walnuts. And then it was time for my treat because I deserved it. My big PBR. YAY.

Well, that’s it for today. I am happy that I am being strong on my own challenge and I hope have all these disgusting pounds saying good bye soon. And also I promise take better pictures in the next post…those are terrible because I used my phone. 🙂  🙂

First day of clean eating challenge

I am trying to loose weight for months and nothing work. I am sure I am doing something wrong thats why isn’t working. So today I have decided to challenge myself to eat clean. Starting one day and trying stick with it for as long as a can.

Here is my first meal of the day at 6:30am: a cup of coffee, 4 strawberries, half banana with yogurt and half slice of whole wheat bread with peanut butter.

My second meal was at 10:00 am. A scramble eggs made of two eggs, one handful of fresh spinach, one tablespoon of mozzarella cheese and milk. Half slice of whole wheat bread and a cup of tea.

For lunch at 1:30pm a mix of quinoa and veggies with a tablespoon of mozzarella cheese, half avocado and a green tea.

And afternoon snack at 4 half apple with two tablespoons of yogurt. I added a little chia seeds and bee pollen on it. And had it with a green tea.

For dinner I had the same food I ate for lunch just quinoa, veggies a little bit of cheese and half avocado.

And finally at night when I got home from work I had my yummilicious cup of coffee and a orange.

I was happy that I finished my challenge for the day hope tomorrow I can do the same. It was not so easy but I will be strong and eat right. What I learned today is that most of times I eat because I’m bored, sad, stressed, or worried about something. How will I fix it? By eating just when I’m really hungry and of course trying to think that food is not the most important thing in my life. Try eat for live and not live for eat. 🙂

A importância da água

Image

– Água regula a tempeture do corpo.

No potato salad

I love potato salad so much that I can eat 5 pounds of it without stop. But I am try to lose weight so research on the internet I found this amazing recipe at Elana’s pantry  blog  and  I decided to try it  I made a few  changes and it tasted really good.

Here is the recipe I made:

Ingredients:

– half  head cauliflower

– half medium jicama

– 1 stalk celery, shopped
– half small onion, finely chopped
– 1 tablespoons parsley
– 2 hard boiled eggs
– 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil
– 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
– 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar

Chop cauliflower into small pieces and the half jicama and cook or steam until tender. When cauliflower and jicama are cool place them in a bowl, add chopped celery, onions, parley. Then separated yolk of the white egg. Shop the white eggs and add to the mixture.

With a fork smash the yolks and slowly start to add the grape seed oil. Keep mixing with the fork all the time, after that, add the mustard and the vinegar. Mix really well. If you want to add a little bit of salt its okay I didn’t because I thought it taste good without salt.

That’s it. I had my “potato salad” without feeling guilt this time.

I had it with a piece of steak tonight 🙂

Lulu Oats

Oats Lulu’s way:

Ingredients: ( 1 serving only)

– 1/8 cup of uncooked oats

– half banana

– Approximately 1/4 cup of milk

– 1 teaspoon of bee pollen/ cinnamon/ shredded coconut

– 1 tablespoon of raisins/ chia seeds

– 2 tablespoon of whole wheat flour

Smash the half banana with a fork and add the other ingredients except the flour and milk.

Now add to it the milk and the flour and again mix it well with the fork. If it is to wet add a little more flour but if is to dry you can add more milk.

After that, is time to cook them. Use a non-sticking cooking spray and spray a pan. Put heat on medium and with a tablespoon add the oats into pan.

Turn it over and cook both sides until they get a little brown. Like this:

Well, now is time  to eat. This is a healthy recipe to brighten up your day. 🙂
